Astons of Coventry 1940's

Picture
The four Aston Brothers, who were recently fined £50.00 for  building a garage and flat in Vequery Street, Coventry, without a licence, and
who received a cheque anonymously from a person in London, today presented a  cheque for £100.00 (including the £50.00 sent from London) to Mr S.A Brown,  Secretary Coventry Services Movement. Picture shows William Aston presenting the  cheque to Mr Brown. Left to right are Charles Aston, George Aston, William  Aston, Councillor Harry Weston, Mr Brown and Harry Aston. A suggestion has been  made the flat they built  should be  called Aston Villa.
